$3M to Grow Intelligent Text Messaging For Employers

Today, we are thrilled to announce $3 million in series A funding led by the brilliant team at SignalFire. Our partnership with SignalFire allows us to continue building best-in-class communication tools for recruiters and HR, expand our ATS and HCM integrations, and grow our customer success program that's achieving 97%+ customer retention rates. 

TextRecruit was founded in 2014 with a simple observation: people have changed the way they communicate, but businesses have not. 

With that idea in mind we went to work creating two-way text messaging software that helps employers centralize, personalize and automate communication and tap into the 6.1 billion people texting worldwide.

Since then...

  • TextRecruit has grown to 200+ customers, sent text messages to over 5,000,000 candidates, and averaged candidate response rates of 37% on behalf of the world's best employers.
  • We formed integrated strategic partnerships that allow messaging directly from top applicant tracking systems such as ADP, iCIMS, Greenhouse, Jobvite, Lever, Avature, Telemetry and SmartRecruiters; job boards such as Beyond.com and Careerbuilder; and HCM’s such as Workday, Oracle’s Taleo and SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Our team launched TextApply and TextHR to attract talent via SMS short codes and to engage distributed employees about payroll, benefits and onboarding. We also pioneered text message automation to assist in managing candidate conversations and auto-unsubscribe to help recruiters stay compliant with CAN-SPAM laws.
  • We were awarded Best B2B Startup at the American Business Awards, named a Top HR Tech and Recruiting Tool of 2016 by Recruiting Daily, and featured in Inc., Entrepreneur and many other industry publications.

Other investors in the round include Ben Davenport, Founder and former CEO of Beluga (which later became Facebook Messenger); Julia Popowitz, former Deputy General Counsel at Facebook; Sarah Imbach, former CRO at LinkedIn; and Steven Baker, former Distinguished Google Engineer & Tom Friel, former CEO of Heidrick & Struggles.
